IMPORTANT NEWS!

5/26/10

WE ARE HERE IF YOU NEED US!!

  • FINAL PLANT DATES:  Corn, Wheat, Barley, Sugarbeets approaching in the next few days.  Late planting period on the horizon for these crops.  Call with any questions!!

  • Check out the 2010 Hail Rates!!  Lower rates than 2009!!

  • See 2010 Price Elections below.

  • Enterprise Unit Election:  This means that all insurable acreage of the elected crop in the county will be one unit.  Even though the crop is considered one unit, you must plant a minimum of 50 acres in 2 sections, with the 20/20 Rule applied.  APH and CRC plans use acreage for discounts; RA uses the number of sections planted, from 2-10.

  • REMINDER!! Changes to sugar beet shares/entities at acreage reporting time!

  • You are now required to sign a Privacy/Non-Discrimination Statement with any crop insurance form.  We will provide this to you when needed.

  • Stop in for a Crop Production Record book to keep track of planting dates, fertilizer, chemicals, units, loads and production!!

  • In the event of a Production Spot Check, you must provide records of truckloads from each field/unit. This applies to both farm- and facility-stored.

  • Find information on the Pasture, Rangeland & Forage Pilot Program.  The program benefits ranchers in Western North Dakota and ALL of Montana.
  • Everyone has permission to commingle production!! There are 3 valid ways to keep track of production:

  • Loads - Keep records of loads off the field (Unit/field number/harvest date/bushels/vehicle identity are needed).

  • Structure Markings - Mark the depth of the production with a permanent marker or tape (Unit/field number/harvest date/initials needed). Mark uninsured acreage and previous year's production separately.

  • Combine Monitor Records - Use printed records from combine monitors (crop/field location/harvest date/bushels-lbs are needed).

**WE HAVE RECORD BOOKS TO KEEP TRACK OF LOADS AND BUSHELS!!  YOU MUST KEEP TRACK OF LOADS IN CASE OF A SPOT-CHECK!!  STOP IN AND PICK ONE UP!!
